In achieving our vision of promoting the colorful, traditional and mainly African clothing in indigenous and Western styles, we retail ready-to-wear quality products. Our products are designed for all demographics and for all occasions.
Most of our items are handmade. Our authentic brand, awekia, is the clothing line which caters for the kids predominantly the 0-10 years’ category with customized versions available on demand. All the brand names were carefully chosen.
The name Freestyle Africa, portrays the diversity of the fabric and styles from across diverse cultures in the motherland. They tell a story about Africa culture and fabric. For some of our products, we consider the higher latitudes and infuse the original culture and colorful fabrics with Western fabrics to create our unique and quality designs.
Awekia, which is our kids’ collection is inspired by our lovely little one, who coined the name during our travels between our Milton Keynes base and the Oxford branch. It is an amalgamation of she and her siblings. She loves what mummy and her multicultural team do and always wants to contribute. She tells us what she wants and how she thinks her friends will also like them. We try to work around her designs to bring out the most sustainable products.
